Book of Morte with Airless Chambers.

I'm here today with some Inspiration in the form of a Handmade and Hand bound Notebook. This little book features real rubber stamped images using Rick St Dennis  Common Grave, Excavation Skulls and Autumn Window Skulls all from the Morte Rubber Set and available as Digi's in his Zibbet Store.

I started by creating the notebook that has been Hand bound, Inked, Stamped and Grunged to within an inch of it's life.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read today. I do hope you will go browse Rick's Zibbett store which now holds over 1000 images and still growing. The link is on the sidebar to your right.

Smudgy Antics with Poe on Friday

For my DT Inspiration today for Smudgy Antics  I am sharing with a Stationary Wallet featuring Poe using Quoth the Raven set in Rubber. I started by constructing the wallet using 300gsm black cardstock. Background papers were then matted and layered and attached to the front and inside covers.  The Poe image from the set was then stamped onto cardstock and then masked and the text stamp from the set added to form the background. This was then matted onto black cardstock and attached to the wallet front encasing a black satin ribbon to act as a closure. The title from the set was stamped onto cardstock and then matted onto black cardstock and attached to the wallet front below the main image. The stationary writing papers and envelopes were created in photoshop, printed and trimmed to size. As an added touch the Quoth the Raven quote from the rubber set was stamped to the flap of the envelopes as a finishing touch.

RSD Progressive Challenge And Domino Art 15 Days of Terror

I am here today doing double duty with my EDT contribution to part 2 of the progressive challenge over on the

and my contribution to DominoArt 15 Days of Terror over on the DominoArt Blog.

The theme is still Anything Goes for the Progressive Challenge.
Team B has worked their magic for you today so be sure to head over to the
Sparkle and Glitter Blog to check out their gorgeous makes!

For my contribution I decided to use the fabulous Lavish Image available in Ricks Zibbett and Etsty Stores. I coloured her up with copics  then added some real bling gemstones and black enamel accents to the dress. I then fussy cut and set to onside. I matted and layered an 8x8 white card blank. I then die cut some frames using black glitter and white cardstock. I layered the frames and added to the card base using 3d foam pads. I then placed the image onto the card base with 3d foam also to make her p off the card. To finish I added the word Lavish with Ginex Rub -ons.

For part two of my post I have joined in with DominoArt 15 days of Terror challenge Thank you Leigh for letting me play.
 The rules are to:-
.
Create a Scary or Halloween inspired altered game piece, all game parts and pieces can be used, and include at least one rubber stamped or digital stamped element.

For my contribution I decided to alter two Dominoes to create an accordion book. I painted the edges and the sides of the two Dominoes with a black sharpie Marker and set aside to dry. I then created my background using DecoArt Media Misters in Primary Yellow  and Yellow Green. I then stamped my Images using Zombie Casanova by Brett Weldele and coloured them up with copics. I then fired up photoshop and then scanned in my coloured images and backround. I created the front cover and accordion insert in photoshop and then printed out. The images were then fussy cut and attached to the two domino pieces to create the front and back covers of the accordion book. For the accordion fold insert I added the main image to some black cardstock and the edged with black soot distress ink. This was the scored at two inch intervals to create the accordion fold. Before attaching to the front and back domino covers, two strips of waxed cord was added to act as closures. A fun project enjoyed doing this one.

Fairytales Do Come True with Sparkle and Glitter.

I'm here today with my DT make for Sparkle and Glitter using one of the many images from Rick St Dennis. Today I made a card using this Fabulous Fairy Image from Rick's Zibbett Store - Cricket.

I coloured her up using Copics then fussy cut and adhered to black card and fussy cut again to make her pop off the card. I then took an 8x8 card base and layered up my matted background. Before adhering to the card base I added a ribbon and bow. I then popped the fairy on top using foam pads. I created my sentiment in photoshop and printed out. Then matted and layered and added to the card using foam pads. You can't really tell in the photo but the wings are glittered for added sparkle.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read.

Macabre Monday at HDH # May I have a Quick Word.

Are you ready for a new, macabre challenge?
The theme for May is:- May I have a Quick Word.
There are multiple ways to interpret that, as long,
as it's also dark and macabre in some way.

Either use a word or words somewhere,
Or make it a quick make ( less than a day from start to finish).

So come on Show us your most Gothic, Macabre, Twisted creations and revel in the dark side of crafting.

For my DT piece I decided to alter a box. I started by giving the box inside and out a coat of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in black. I then applied DecoArt Media Black Modelling paste through a stencil to the box base sides.
Whilst this was drying I gave the lid both outside and inside a coat of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in black. I then fired up photoshop and created my Poe collage and printed out.
Once the box sides had dried I reapplied the stencil and added DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in Medium Grey Value 6 with a stencil brush. Once dried I went over all box sides with a mixed wash of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics in Crbon Black and Quinacrodone Gold to tone down. This was then sealed with a coat of DecoArt Matte Media Varnish.
I then gave the lid a coat of DecoArt Matte Medium and also applied Matte Mediun to the back of my collage and attached to the box lid with a brayer so as not to get any air bubbles. Once dry a coat of DecoArt Matte Media Varnish was applied to protect.
For the finishing touch decorative feet were added to the box.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read. Hope you will join over in the Dungeon at Haunted Design House to share your own interpretations of the theme. Remember to keep it dark and gothic, not light and sweet. You have until Midnight May 31st to join us and you can enter up to 3 creepy creations.
